Milford, CT – October 14th, 2009Media Links, Inc., a leading developer of Ethernet based video transport and processing solutions for the media and broadcast industry announced today that its MD8000 transport and switching platform has been delivered to Grupo Televisa, the largest broadcaster and media operator in Latin America. 

Televisa plans to upgrade their existing transport infrastructure to support full HD-SDI in order to deliver the highest quality level of video prior to network distribution.  The MD8000 provides Grupo Televisa a fully protected 40 Gigabit ring topology, future expansion capacity up to 200Gb per location and hitless switching for all video and data traffic.

Media Links’ MD8000, developed for the transmission of mission critical video, audio and data applications ranging from JPEG2000, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SDI, DVB-ASI, AES coupled with standards based SONET and IP/Ethernet user and network interfaces, provides a future proof based approach to upcoming network expansions.
