Media Links Opens North American Headquarters & Appoints President
Leading Japanese Video Transport Supplier Makes Long-Term Commitment to North American and European
SHELTON, CT — August 16, 2005— Media Global Links Corporation, of Kawasaki, Japan, the leading supplier of uncompressed video transport solutions in the Japanese marketplace, announces the opening of the Media Links, Inc. headquarters in Shelton, Connecticut and the appointment of A. Mario Frattaroli as President.
As a subsidiary of Media Global Links Corporation, Media Links, Inc. will provide sales, customer support, and marketing coverage for the North American and European markets.
Current Media Links products: - MD6000, a high performance, long distance video transport system designed to support a variety of uncompressed SD and HD video format over 2.4 Gigabit and 10 Gigabit networks, including SONET, SDH, and Ethernet formats. - MD-003, a multi-channel transport system capable of sending up to 16 SD or HD video signals via a single mode optical fiber, and offers automatic protection switching with the use of a pair of fibers. - Video compression and processing line of products developed to operate primarily on 525 line SD and 1080 interlaced HD video signals.
A. Mario Frattaroli has been appointed President of Media Links Inc. Mr. Frattaroli brings a wealth of video industry expertise and operational knowledge to Media Links. Prior to joining Media Links, Mr. Frattaroli was Vice President of Operations with C-COR Inc. of Wallingford, Connecticut. He previously held positions with ADC Telecommunications, Echlin Inc., Eaton Corp and Pitney Bowes.
