The HD Fly Away Pack is a premium quality compression and network interface system that allows the field delivery of HD signals via increasingly widespread 270 Mbit/s local loop circuits. Utilizing Media Links’ HD270 Coax codecs, low delay, minimal compression and exceptional quality contribution is achieved. This provides users with a system that can backhaul HD from the field using as little compression as possible. In addition to optimal quality encoding, the MD2000 series frame - upon which the HD Fly Away Pack is based - supports a wide array of video processing products: audio embedding, up and down conversion, frame synchronizers and more.

HD-GigE: HD compression codec and IP Video gateway
The HD-GigE™ IP Gateway transports HD-SDI/SD-SDI/DVB-ASI signals over IP networks and offers a cost effective alternative to traditional video transport services. The flexible, HD intraframe compression codec produces a high quality video signal that can be transported over Gigabit Ethernet networks. Standard Definition and ASI signals are automatically detected and passed through transparently.
HD270 Coax: HD Compression Codec for 270Mbps Transport Circuits
The HD270 Coax™ compression and transport of HD-SDI signals over 270Mbps circuits with outstanding video quality at incredibly low latency. By utilizing field by field encoding, the entire codec process adds less than 10 milliseconds of end-to-end delay.
MD6000: High Performance Video Transport System
The MD6000™ provides high performance video transport system over SDH/SONET Networks. Advanced technologies, including error correction, hitless protection switching, and differential delay adaptation allow flawless transport of the most demanding types of video signals.
MD-003 1RU: Hybrid Frame
The MD-003 1RU™ hybrid frame supports both Media Links MD2000™ series signal processing modules and MD-003 optical video transport modules, making it the most versatile frame available. Two slots are available for signal processing which include the HD-270 Coax Compression Code for 270Mbps transport circuits, the HD-GigE Video IP Gateway, and Media Links full suite of HD and SD analog/digital up and down converters, frame synchronizers and audio embedders and de-embedders.
MD-003 3RU: Multi Frame
The MD-003 3RU™ frame provides a complete multi-channel, multi-service transport solution. This compact unit integrates video/data to fiber transmitters and receivers, in-band network management, CWDM or DWDM multiplexing and fiber protection switching into a single frame system. The use of internal, modular plug-in fiber connectors eliminates multiple frames, external fiber patch cords and patch panels and provides an extremely robust solution.
